What about call quality?

The call quality will be the same as with a standard phone line. BT will check that your broadband or fibre can support it before we complete your order.

How easy is it to set up and what support is available?

It is straightforward: you don’t need any technical expertise.

Your BT Cloud IP Phones will be ready to use as soon as you get them out of the box: just plug them in and get talking.

BT will help you set up the system and make sure that everything is working okay. They will also give you access to some self-help guides and videos, in case you have any questions later.

What are the charges if I call abroad?

It depends on which charge band you are calling.

How secure is it?

Access to the BT Cloud Phone portal is password protected, encrypted and we continuously monitor accounts for suspicious activity. Your administrators can also limit your users’ permission levels and access to international dialling.

We encrypt your calls to stop anyone being able to intercept or eavesdrop on your conversations.

We host your BT Cloud Phone service in secure data centres which undergo robust security audits (such as SSAE-16 and ISO-27001). All data stored in the data centres is encrypted and the data centres themselves are fully protected, both physically and virtually.

How do I log into my BT Cloud Phone account?

The online portal helps you manage and control your BT Cloud Phone from any place where you can access the internet.

What if I use my 500 UK minutes?

If the minutes are used before the end of the month, additional minutes are charged at the rates shown below:

  • Local — 2p
  • National — 2p
  • 0870 — 2p
  • 0845 — 2.55p
  • Fixed to Mobile charge rates fm1 to fm17 — 7p

Alternatively, you can add the Unlimited Call Package for £3 per user per month. You would need either the Connect or Collaborate feature pack to do this. However, you can upgrade to one of these from the Basic pack.
